I placed an order with Amazon in the middle of the night Wed., and it arrived at my door 4 PM Friday. I always check and compare prices with Amazon. Sometimes they're competitive, sometimes not. Well worth $99. annually. You get used to two-day deliver, and see the Q's seven to ten day delivery antiquated, besides being overpriced many times.

Just adding my two cents- everyone else has done a great job.

I've ordered from Amazon for years and years.  They're the first place I look for just about everything.  I have the Amazon prime membership and love it.

If I love something, but want to think about it, I put it in my cart and then watch it.  Sometimes the price lowers, sometimes it doesn't, but it's easy for me to check my cart a few times a day and watch the prices.  I recently bought a Kooba leather purse that way.  $298 purse and I got it for about $79.

Last year alone I had over 100 orders from them.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

When I see a pair of shoes that I like, I always check Amazon first. About 75% of the time, they have it at a lower price, and even without Prime, ( which I have ) you can usually get free or low cost shipping.

Yes, me too.  I  cart things and lay wait.  Another great plus for Amazon.  Always a better price (hopefully) if you wait.  I do the same for the Q.  I haunt the AS IS and Clearance and Last Clicks.  I just cart everything and wait.

I have never used Amazon but finding a great deal on a D&B leather tote. It's almost half the price of what D&B sells it for even with a great deal this weekend.

How is Amazon able to sell it for so much less? I have no idea about anything to do with Amazon but thinking of ordering this tote.

Any thoughts on Amazon in general?

TIA

I really like amazon.

I don't know how amazon would sell a d&b for so much less but some things on Amazon are sold by another party and only fulfilled by Amazon or they might be sold on Amazon by another party and fulfilled by the other party also.

I love Amazon. I joined Prime almost a year ago and I've saved sooooo much $$$$ in S&H that it has paid for itself. I buy lots of different items and have never been disappointed. I read the reviews, check other sites for price and comments, and then will probably go back to Amazon. The delivery is fast and if something does need to be returned, it's never a hassle. I recommend it highly!

@Jayjay.  Is the purse being sold by Ilovedooney?  If so, it is completely reputable; it is Dooney's clearance site.  They also sell on ebay and their own website.  I believe the prices are all the same.  They have great bargains.

I agree with others that Amazon is, over all, hard to beat.  Sure, they aren't going to always have the best price but the vast majority of the time they do.

Their customer service is beyond outstanding.   I've been a happy customer since 1999.  I just looked and have had 80 orders in the last six months.   That's not even a really busy 6 months for me.  Smiley Happy

While I'm certain it's not worth it for everybody, Prime has been totally worth it for me.   When they were raising the price I thought about it before deciding to let it go ahead and renew.

You also get Prime video, which I enjoy, and there are other perks but for me it's mostly about the Prime shows and the free 2-day shipping.  The 2-day shipping has been practically flawless over the years.

I have to agree with the others, and my letter carrier will confirm it!  LOL  Sometimes I think they are privately swearing about me because they're getting out of their vehicle several times a week to deliver packages to my front porch.  Amazon is great and my
"Prime" membership is well worth the investment.

Lol same here! Barring the last 3 weeks, there would be an Amazon package at my door almost every day. I buy everything from dog supplies/supplements to workout clothes to light fixtures/fans for the house.    It is actually really nice to find so many things in one place and at a low price than to have to drive around looking for everything at various stores or ordering from several different places. Amazon really hit a home run with their business strategy and really living up to the name, just like the founder hoped for, lol!

Yes, it is being sold by ilovedooney.  That's why I was asking because I know nothing about Amazon and wasn't sure if it was a vendor or ebay type of selling as well as Amazon itself.

The handbag is half the price on D&B website and even though they have a sale going, Amazon's deal is much better.

Thanks everyone. I have to run out now but I will look into ordering this on Amazon.
