I use Amazon way too much.  I was thinking, I would quit if I could. This is a hard one for me.  Mainly because Amazon has taken over the market, and no smaller business can survive them. Pretty soon most drug stores will be gone. What a businesss,  I remember when they were Amazon books, that was way back.  I get toiletry items, ointments, medical stuff next day.  I just wish our home town business could survive, or grow from this. No one, but no one now could compete. Amazon has too much money. The employees aren't happy, but it's one of those jobs, not too many woukd happy with for long. On the lower lefel

Amazon is becoming a monopoly forcing smaller business to close and I don't like it.  I have only ordered from them when I can't find an item I need elsewhere which is rare.  And I would never pay them money to shop at their "store."

@Biftu . I agree, but they make it so hard.  It's an endless circle.  Less and less becomes available at our supermarkets, and brick and mortor stores. Sellers go to Amazon to reach more people, and save the cost of being in a BM store because it's slow.  So we go to Amazon.  And for many it's faster than getting in the car and traveling mikes to find something. At your door in hours sometimes, or at least overnight. I have ordered something  at 11 PM, .....and there it is....at doorstep as I go to get morning coffee

We are huge Amazon shoppers, and as such we have had returns as well. Not too long ago one was a window air conditioner that did not fit in the window-the measurements in the purchase info. When I was shipping it back it popped up that we could not return the unit due to the free-on that was in the unit. I called and told them that it was in there when it was shipped to me-Amazon accepted that explanation, authorized the $500 refund on the spot and told me to keep the air conditioner. We donated it to a shelter.

Yes, I forgot to mention that -- a nice little bonus!

We shop frequently with Amazon and are very pleased with their service, prices, quality and convenience. Shopping with them more than pays for any fee that is charged. Not to mention all the other amenities.   Also shop frequently in our local shops, stores, cafes and restaurants. We spread the wealth around.  It is not an either or situation.
