I've tried to order 3 different things from WalMart. Never again. They have "lost" the item on one order, it took 2 weeks for the next order, and by the third time around it was a 3 week delay. No thanks. I'll stick with a company that knows how to do business and has great customer service.

@febe1, Walmart bought Jet and that's why Walmart can offer this new program now. I haven't purchased anything from Jet, I never find anything I want there.

Hi, @itiswhatitis. I just got some advertisements on Jet and haven't looked into it yet. I buy from both Amazon & Walmart. I will continue to check both out for price. When I find something I like, I continue buying the same thing for a while, so I do know Amazon can be much higher in price on some things I buy.
I've never ordered online with WalMart. And I've never been disappointed in my Amazon purchases. So I just have another source for purchases.

Really I don't even know how Amazon can do it like they do. In my opinion they are leap years ahead of any other marketplace in the world. And their website is smooth and easy to use. Their tech people are the best.

@febe1, Jet is not so bad if you can find what you want. They have the two day shipping once you spend a certain amount. The last time I looked on Jet, they had a 15% off coupon for your first three orders. Still couldn't find what I wanted.

Walmart will have a long way to go to come anywhere close to matching amazon, in every aspect of customer service. We buy very little from walmart, and never buy anything over a certain amount. I have had occasion to deal with their customer service also.
Amazon I just dealt with today. I bought supplemental part for a separate shower head that I did not need. Not defective/not too big/too small, just a $10 item I did not need. In less than 5 minutes during my phone call, I received, via e-mail, and printed off a free return label they sent me. Right after I hung up from that call, I checked my amazon account and they had already put that amount back into account? Try that with walmart or most other retail companies.
I also watch 4k movies and many other documentaries and movies for free, and pay not sales tax on any of our purchases. Walmart? No thanks, I will stick with what I have found to be the best prices and customer service of any company with which I have ever dealt with over many decades.
Good luck to walmart trying to pick off prime members from amazon, I don't see it ever happening. Guess competition makes $ transactions more competitive. This one? I don't see it happening.

The fasted shipping I have ever gotten is from Jet... I'm talking their regular shipping, not 2-day. It's incredibly fast and so far nothing broken or lost.

Hmmm... at that price, I wonder if they've considered that it doesn't have to be an 'either/or' kind of thing...

I was an Amazon Prime member for many years but unfortunately I am no longer able to subscribe. I just placed an order from them to qualify for their free shipping and was stunned to see how long it took to process and ship the order. Please know I am not complaining but to be honest I will be looking at Walmart next time around.

I'm glad you're 100% satisfied with Amazon. Their CS must be excellent to give you that kind of service. I've never had a problem with Amazon and have belonged to Prime.
I've never purchased from WalMart online, but I do go into their store maybe once a month or so.
As a shopper who tends to buy the same things I like over and over, I easily compare prices. And I share my purchases when I can, mostly trying to support my community stores.
Recently, I went to WalMart to get dry goods and other things that I know the prices are so much better than community stores and Amazon. I got everything I needed from dish soap to ant spray. I must have saved maybe around $50.
Perhaps the things you buy from Amazon are not the supplies I usually get. It doesn't matter to me Amazon has the larger "selection." I'm only interested in what I usually get.
I do like Amazon web site better than Amazon. But I don't like the way Amazon determines what is Prime and what is or is not free s&h.
I do have loyalty to trying to support my community stores, but I don't have any towards either WalMart or Amazon.
I think Walmart is going to compete. And they've bought Jet,also. I'm average and think most will do business who offers them the best prices, the best s&h, the best products, and the best customer service.
Nice hearing from you, John, and see you back. Hope all is well with you and yours.
