Just ordered 3 items late last night. Could have had 2 delivered by 8 am. One is coming tomorrow. Depends what you order and where it is being shipped from. I still find Amazon the fastest delivery available.

@Janey2   I live in Phoenix and order from Amazon practically every single day.  For whatever reason, I haven't noticed any delay in any of my orders and that includes gift orders I have made to various locations.

Sometimes I think my acct has some sort of "flag" that zips my orders out PRONTO because I order so much (THAT'S A JOKE!!)

I unexpectedly ran out of Vit. C the other day, ordered it and it arrived the next day that I really APPRECIATED!

I have had slow shipping too. Last night, I got an Amazon delivery around 8:30 at night. It was an Amazon truck. I felt kind of bad for the delivery driver.

It was inevitable that Amazon would hit this roadblock.  The variations of free shipping (overnight, same day, etc) are not sustainable, especially after laying people off.

I use Amazon frequently but am keeping my prime membership because we have several subscriptions for our pets coming from Amazon at good prices.  I do try to ship my things together when possible, so I create my own delay.

At least QVC won't be compared to Amazon as frequently.  😸

They may have over-done it.   At the least, they haven't adjusted to the loss of positions.

What?  That's weird.

Who does lay-offs at the beginning of the holiday season?

Usually retailers need to hire short-term and part-time help.

Fastest delivery available? I don’t consider a three to five week delivery fast. Sales lost from me, not that they care!

There's nothing I've ordered lately that I need quickly, so  I've been delaying delivery hoping it frees up space for those who do.

Our Amazon instructions are very specific to leave at door I would say this happend about 25% of the time. Last package was left next door. At lease a have a freind there and she got the package to me

@BiftuI'm a Prime member and seeing the same problem with orders for the past couple of weeks.  All items were shipped from Amazon.  The orders will state they arrived at the local hub, then out for delivery, and then "we're sorry, your order is delayed".  Then they update to "out for delivery" the next day, but the same thing happens again, a few times over.  I've cancelled a couple of orders after repeated delay notices.

They should have held off on layoffs during the busiest time of the year, not to mention it would have helped those workers that need their paychecks.

@LdyBugz,  most of the employees laid off were in corporate middle management not warehouse workers.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.
