I don't believe there is any debate about the value of Amazon Prime and it's not just about saving money on items.  Prime gives us sooooo much more that that.  The people who bash Prime don't even know what Prime offers it's members.  It is funny but some people do think Prime is only about 2-day shipping.

You know for a long time, I wasn't aware of all the perks, but my favorite after shipping is the Amazon Video, great shows.

Something about Amazon Prime that some might not know.  If your item arrives late or does not arrive at all -- you can request that they add a free month of Prime to your membership.  I just did it with an item that never arrived.  This was the first time that ever happened -- it was an item that was not even fulfilled directly by Amazon -- I contacted them by email -- and they added a free month of Prime in addition to a refund for the item.

Good to know.

@judy0330 I have received the month free for late arrival. Truth be told, I don't receive most of my items in the three days. It happens so often I can't be bothered calling them n it every time because I don't need the stuff that fast most of the time. Occasionally, something breaks in the house and replacing it through amazon seems like the way to go for price and selection. When I don't receive it until the 4th day, I go back to thinking I should just run down to the local hardware store.

@skuggles  Wow.  I wonder why that is.  I would say that in all my years of Prime there have been under 5 times that things did not arrive on time.  Don't bother calling them.  Just shoot them a quick email on the contact page.  You should get something for the inconvenience of  late arrival.  You can do it up to 12 times a year.  I know where my cousin lives there are major problems with mail service and his experience has been the opposite of mine.  I think he takes advantage of all 12 times he can ask for a Prime extension!

@judy0330 Wow, thank you. I had no idea you could make this complaint with a one month freebie 12X/year.

Big Amazon Prime fans here.  The membership fee is money well spent.  I have a few things on their subscribe and save plan too.

My daughter has it, loves it and wouldn't be without it.

I don't order a lot from them and most of what I do order includes free shipping.  If I needed something in 2 or 3 days, I would just go to the store for it and if it wasn't available at the store, would use her account.

I don't buy enough to make it worthwhile for the free shipping but I do buy videos and I need it to buy them , and for me, that makes it worthwhile.

We love Amazon Prime.  In addition to shopping for everything, ebooks, the music services my husband loves, and now the Video (we are enjoying quite a few enormously).  This services are all great and all for $12.99 a month.

We love Costco too, they are different.
