Obviously you don't understand how Amazon and Amazon Prime work.   Everything on the Amazon platform is not eligible for Prime delivery.   It sounds like you ordered from a third party sellers that  and your item wasn't eligible for Prime.  I've been shopping from the very beginning, since the time when they only sold books.  But I still experience this if I'm not careful enough when I order.   It happened in February with my niece's birthday present.  Amazon customer service bailed me out.  They are the best!   They canceled the one that wouldn't arrive for a week and sent me one from the Amazon warehouse.  I got it the next day.  Late around 8pm but I got it.

Exactly. You HAVE to read all your options before you click Place your order.  Some are delivered by Amazon (that's your free shipping one) and some are delivered by , e.g. mom and pop's country store, lol. Just read before you click place your order.

Last week I ordered a pack of ensure. I drink one bottle everyday.  We have prime. When I order ensure, I always get in the same day I order.  It arrived last Saturday just like it was supposed to.  However, instead of ensure, I got something else.  A drink for people with Kidney Dialysis!  I immediately called customer service. Not only did they apologize, but told me they would reship the correct order, and  I did't need to return what I got.  They said I could keep it or give to someone else.  Well we have a kidney dialysis center about a mile aways.  My husband took it up there, and they accepted it.  An hour later, my correct order was on my front porch.  This all happened on one day!  I love Amazon Prime.....

If that had happened to me, I would have considered it a sign from God that I didn't need that fudge lol

LOL Woman LOL You, the universe, and my doctor have the same thoughts - as of yesterday (Monday) when my blood sugar results came in I am back on my low carb diet plan. On the verge and need to watch it - "right now!" - soooo no more fudge (or the many other goodies I have been mindlessly scarfing). Boo hoo!

Probably the number 1 reason we subscribe to PRIME is cost?

And yes,we also have those instructions to leave our parcels at the door. Prime does, but USPS doesn't. I think the driveway is too long (1/4 mile one way).

@Group 5 minus 1   Our mail carrier is wonderful.  He leaves all our packages at our back door.   Unfortunately, if he is off his replacements leave our packages in the front in spite of the fact that we have a sign on our door stating all packages are to be left at the back door.    The Amazon drivers usually follow our instructions but here have been times they have not.

@Kachina624    .. it depends on the vendor.   Not all items come from Amazon.    Some do, in fact, use the USPS.  I have had several packages delivered by the Post Office.  But 9 times out of ten,  they are delivered as promised.

I have been a Amazon Prime member for years and my packages always come by a Amazon truck. I also get a photo of where my delivery was left.

I have never received anything by USPS.

Old Post? It's not even quite 6 months yet. Oct 28 makes 6 months. I thought it was anything over one year that's considered old?

I've seen one from 2014, now that OLD.

Had prime since the beginning.  Can't imagine  Amazon without it.  Have never had any problem with it.  It comes the day we expect it.  A good portion of it comes in the same day we order or the next day.
