Just wondering for those who use "prime" -- I always receive my orders w/in 2 days when they state "prime delivery"  -- sometimes by the next day.

I placed 3 orders today which stated "shipped from Amazon.com"so I know there isn't a 3rd party YET my EDD is 9/10.

Has the prime fast shipping changed?  I guess I'm spoiled and want my items not like when I order from other places, I know I'll have to wait!

thank you!

No the shipping has not changed...I ordered a book and the EDD was 9/10 due to the hurricane. The heading stated I may not receive my package within the 2dy delivery due to possible weather related delays. I was able to cancel.

Delays almost never happened and when they do you are told up front. My guess is there is a weather delay.  I ordered some mugs today from Amazon and I got the same message that shipping may be delayed because of weather.

The last time this happened, I got my items as fast as I ever did anyway.

p.s.  My last order, I ordered on Saturday and it was delivered on Sunday. Imagine that with QVC.

@homedecor1 I suspect, like the others who answered, that this is related to the storm activity, so they are estimating delivery conservatively so as not to tick customers off with making a promise they might not be able to keep because of Mother Nature.

And I am a Prime member without any complaints about Amazon.

Thank you EVERYONE!!!

I completely did not consider the hurricane situation.

My shipping confirmation did not mention anything about "weather" delays. Just stated the shipping date.

@Bhvbumlol  I imagine having to pay upfront for that free shipping!   Last time I tried that, each of my Amazon deliveries cost me just shy of $11 each.

I don't add my fee to the billion+ $$$$ Amazon collects upfront.  The system works best for people who buy often.

I do wish QVC would solve its issues although I personally have not run into any of the very long delivery times that happen in some areas.    And I really almost never need fast delivery -  although I know K'm fortunate to live where there is still excellent brick and mortar shopping.

i have noticed that PRIME shipping is becoming slower in general.

items promised in one day are delivered 2 or 3 days later.

some items that are coming from amazon can take a week.

this is becoming the new norm in my experience.

we do have an amazon warehouse close by.

if we did not get the student rate i probably would NOT pay full price for prime.

The storm may indeed be a factor, however if the selling vendor is someone other than Amazon, sometimes it takes longer to ship, even for Prime members.

Some items, also, must be shipped ground. So even when buying via Prime, it will take a few days to get to you.

I’m finding delivery dates slipping for the last few months.
