Croemer,

I don't know if you can renew early but you could try cancelling your current Prime membership and starting a new one. May or may not work but might be worth a try.

Grr...I hate doing that! I will think on it. TY Marp.

I just renewed my Prime membership recently, so my e-mail from this morning states my rate goes up to $99 in February 2015. IMO still a tremendous bargain, considering the standard 2-day shipping (hear that Q?), not to mention the tons of instant streaming and Kindle bonuses. Like Marp mentioned it amounts to less than $10 a month for all the benefits. And unfortunately I'd spend that on turtle-speed shipping at the Q on 1 light-weight item.

I think it's still a great bargain! I use Amazon a lot and it has definitely paid off!

See post #18; however, they are probably aware that some will try to cancel current memberships and start new ones so they may have something in place to prevent it.

ETA: On the Amazon front page there is notice to start prime in the next 7 days to lock in the $79 price.

Re: Amazon Prime Price Increase

I will keep it. I think how much each person uses it will be the deciding factor for them.

I use it a lot ...I order a lot from Amazon and I love the 2-day free shipping and I also use the free one book monthly for the Kindle..and while I don't use the streaming video/movies..they use it for my grandson.

Re: Amazon Prime Price Increase

Circles,

Sometimes. For example I just ordered some supplements, all qualifying for Prime. Two of the items were shipped by Amazon and the third by a vendor. If an item is Prime qualified it is clearly stated in the item description.

The answer is ""sometimes"". You can get most kinds of items on Prime. Sometimes other vendors have a cheaper price without Prime but they charge for shipping.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.
