@gardenman :  Most of the best deals that I have seen previewed are for Amazon brand products; I'm buying two new generation 7" tablets for $ 50.  I've also seen Dot for $20 and Fire TV was also a massive saving.

Just a heads up, the 7" tablet isn't necessarily an improved version. My old 7" tablet was from 2012 and seemed to have a better screen and speakers than the new one. Go figure! I'd assumed it would be an upgrade, and it is in terms of memory, but the screen and sound aren't better. The images, particularly text, is much better on my 10" tablet. The color saturation is lower on the new 7" tablet also. Colors are a bit less sharp and clear. All in all it's a bit of a disappointment. I'd assumed that over seven years they'd have improved the tablet not downgraded it.

On July 11th I looked at prime day early deals on the home page, and scooped up 3 months free kindle unlimited. It went through immediately.

Last year's prime days was my first.  They had deals that appeared for 1 hour only throughout the day...I was always checking in for more specials.  I had just moved and needed (or wanted!) stuff for my new apt.

No such excuse this year...but I love checking out the deals!!!
