I was upset. I took a screen shot as proof, in case I needed it. I know things go up and down constantly on Amazon. I didn't know about the refund thingy and am glad I found the right link, to question the price drop. I was so bothered by it, that I forgot I had asparagus in the oven, roasting. Burned to a crisp!

Yesterday on a Business channel they were saying that Amazon is going to start a new music download plan and they are going to increase their Prime to $119 a year. I probably won't subscribe to it if it goes that high. I hope they are just floating a trial balloon to see how their customers would react.

I suspect they will increase Prime and I've heard both $99 and $119 are being considered. My initial reaction was to drop it if that happens but even at $119 it is less than $10 a month and since I order at least once a month it is a cheap price to pay for two day delivery.

I don't know, Lion. My purchase was fulfilled by Amazon with Prime Shipping. I ordered late last night and it arrived today in less than 24 hours.

Wow, less than 24 hrs!

I've been having the opposite lately. My 2 day delivery has sometimes been 3 or 4 days. I can't seem to find rhyme or reason for when many of my orders get shipped, especially when I order on Thursday through Sunday.

When I called Amazon CS to complain about the delivery taking more than 2 days, I just got a runaround. Very disappointing.

I saw that they already price adjusted for you but they have done this a few times for me already when it was within a few days.

Yesterday I purchased an item from Amazon. I received it today.....shocking for sure. My problem, the item today is almost $8 cheaper. Does Amazon give refunds if the price is lower within 24 hours of purchase? If so, how do I go about contacting them?

Amazon changes prices sometimes by the minute. If I want something they sell and am in no hurry for the purchase, I've waited at times up to a month watching their prices change. When it gets to a point I think will be the lowest in my time frame, I order it.

I've never called and asked if they give refunds. Will guess that what I said in the above paragraph, I doubt they will refund the difference. That is just a guess now!

I have complained about this a few times and they gave me a free month of Amazon Prime (tacked onto my current membership) and when it happened again a $5 credit for the inconvenience. I know they can't help it all the time but it's been happening more and more lately.

If I see something that interests me on Amazon and I don't want it yet, I bookmark the page and under the properties tab, I remove the info about the website and put in its place the price of the item and the date that it was that price. Nine times out of ten when I go back to that bookmarked item (a few months later); I see a price increase, rarely a price drop.

Prices change all the time, with all retailers. That's just the way things go. I'm glad they gave you a price adjustment. I bought ketchup at the grocery store yesterday, full price. Today it might be on sale BOGO free.

When I buy anything from Talbots, I definitely keep watching the price as they'll adjust for 14 days after purchase I think. Everywhere else, I just don't think about it. But if I'd noticed it like the OP did, I definitely would have asked for an adjustment and I'm glad they gave you one.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Between the time I ordered ATK's Gluten-Free cookbook from Amazon and the time the book was shipped, the price decreased from $21.16 to $16.17. They sent me an email, stating that they were charging me the lower price. To me, that was a considerable savings as I had purchased two copies of the book (one for me and one for my GF).

I didn't know you could request a refund.

I have had that happen many times with Amazon...always a pleasant surprise.
