What's your opinion on this new appeal. Not sure what to think myself. I guess there wasn't sufficient evidence originally and she was let go. Are there any other suspects other than her boyfriend. I didn't really follow the case too much at the time. Do you believe her??

it appears that italian authorities have picked up raffaele sollecito.

What is the likelihood that she will have to return to Italy? I don't know about her guilt. I feel she was involved maybe in some way, but I don't think she killed her.

extremely unlikely, as long as she stays in the states.

i have a hard time trusting the italian judicial system. corruption and bribery is commonplace there.

I think this just goes to show that if a person is put on trial enough times......they will be found guilty. Especially with absolutely no new evidence.

I read that it would be very likely for her to be extradited. The article went on to state that the US would have a difficult time refusing an extradition request since we ask for more extraditions than any other country.

I don't know if Knox is guilty or not. I did think she would be found guilty, though, when I heard they were trying her another time.

I feel this same way. I have very little faith in the Italian judicial system.

The Italian judicial system is corrupt. They wanted the American to be guilty, so they found a way to make that happen.

As for her being extradited, I don't see that happening.

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.

Both she and her boyfriend were found guilty. Amanda getting 28 1/2 years and her boyfriend 25 years.

Don't know what to think anymore. Am glad she is not my daughter.

luvpoos, the actual rapist and murderer is in prison and was in custody way before Amanda and Rafaele were made the focus. He was an Ivory Coast drug dealer and burglar. It was his DNA that was all over Meredith and the apartment, not Amanda's and Rafaele's. Yet, in the fervor to go after the two students, the obvious has been completely ignored. When he was first questioned he never mentioned anyone else at all. Then the Italian prosecutor contrived his fantasy of some kind of orgy, fed that to the police and to the press, and it was widely accepted as truth with no proof, even in the U.S. As the details of the first trial came out and also the second trial, there is no other conclusion to be drawn other than Rudy Guede acted alone which is usually the case with rapist/murderers. One life was taken and two other lives have now been destroyed forever because of this rapist. As for the Italian prosecutor, this isn't the first time he has made up an orgy scenario in a trial. He should be disbarred, but in the Italian system, the prosecutor is allowed to feed the press anything he chooses and is in total control of what the police are allowed to do. Incidentally this murder/rapist/drug dealer/ burglar got his sentence reduced to 16 years on appeal.
