@ThinkingOutLoud this remind me of Judge Judy "They can pick up cans". Nothing against what you said but it brought back to mind Judge Judy.
I think these workers will need therapy, after going through this.

Oh no. Just read about Kevon Ricks. I was praying that he made it out. This is so sad.
RIP

@willomenia Not so nuts. They already did that for one ex-qvc employee and she pulled in over $100,000.

Why would this be any different than any other business having a major catastrophe that interupted business for a significant amount of time.
It's a non-issue as far as I'm concerned.
If the corner supermarket burned down would you be looking to donate to those employees?
It's not like it was their homes.

Donations for the employees of QVC can be sent to the
Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce
100 Coastline St #200
Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
Please write QVC Employee Fund on the memo line.
@depglass-Don't know if you saw this, if you wanted to assist those affected by the fire.
a multi millonion dollar company is asking it's customers to send in donations? they're nuts!

That fund has been set up by the Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce to aid its neighbors and residents.
Not QVC. Where do you get that notion.....good grief.

In response to your question posted above, yes, if I was a frequent shopper at that corner supermarket.
Most of the time when some catastrophe hits a local business, the community starts a fund and people respond very generously. It is VOLUNTARY to give. If you are not inclined, then DON'T.

This is an outside source asking for money, this would be poofed by moderators if it was to anything else. So yes, technically qvc is asking for money
