I saw ,y sister for a bit yesterday, but today and tomorrow will be alone. I'm pretty much always alone, so no biggie. Good for me I'm a loner.

@goldensrbest   I spent some time earlier today "yard visiting" with my parents, and now I am back home alone again. I will be alone again tomorrow too.

I've started planning out vacations (for next year) and writing out gift lists for the kids in the family for Christmas.

Anything I can do to continue to keep my mind on happier thoughts.

Silence and loneliness can be overwhelming and almost oppressive at times. I have to stay busy--it's what works for me.

I lean on my faith a lot too. Heart

@ROMARY    What a lovely thought!  Yes, I'm alone today too, as I am all holidays.

@goldensrbest    I bet the day is especially lonely for you without Spirit.  Do you have another dog?  I was thinking you had two.  Do you think you'll get another?  Maybe too soon to know.

I find it too hard ,to live without a golden, but we will see,  in time . Not easy to find a breeder that does all clearences, and can not drive a long way, just me here.

I am, but it's fine.  I have been under the weather all week, so napping a lot.

Tomorrow my brother-in-law is dropping off burgers, salad and baked beans, since we are once again skipping our cookout.  I have a couple dvd movies I have been saving, so I will be enjoying them.

I'm sure I will be on the phone a few times, also.

Supposed to be cooler and rainy here, so I pulled out all my fall decorations and have everything laid out on the couch....will be deciding where to put everything.

Have a lovely rest of the weekend, everyone.

My three kids have been out of school since early March, so nope, no alone time for me! I'm really thinking about asking my husband to take the kids out for a couple of hours tomorrow just so I can clean, LOL!

I will be alone tomorrow. I am going to my Son's house today for dinner. I live alone and don't mind being alone. I get to do what I want when I want. It works for me.

I understand how much you love golden retrievers, and please know I mean no harm or insensitivity with this post. I'm sure the pain is still too fresh to make any decisions right now.

Down the road though maybe you could consider your local shelter and adopting a mixed breed instead? It might be easier for you to do (no far distance to drive) and there are so many little guys out there looking for the kind of love your home would provide in abundance.

My daughter ended up adopting a mixed breed/mutt of unknown origin about 15 months ago. What a gift from God above he has turned out to be. He loves my daughter and thinks she hung the moon. He's so grateful and happy for the smallest things....I cannot put into words how this addition to our family has changed us all.

I know you have to make those decisions for yourself. I just wanted to offer that perspective.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and hope the hurting lessens soon. Hang in there. Heart
