Hmmm, not a good idea to make generalizations because it's not true. I know because I'm 66, have mostly salt & pepper, with a shock of white at one temple.

I let mine grow natural now, too.
I have seen that and love the way it looks!

My father called it "champagne blond".

Very "silvery".

I'm over 60 and so are most of my friends. None of us have white hair.
As for Ali McGraw, her hair style is not flattering.
Some people love gray hair. I do not.

Not a look I can carry off, either
Her jewelry pulls her look together. It doesn't scream southwest, but you get the suggestion of that with the silver and coral.

The only person in my family with white hair was my grandmother in her 80s. She used to use "bluing" on it to prevent any yellowing.
I've never seen anyone who had white hair at age 60. That could look good on a lot of people.

I think that she looks beautiful!
I know that in the original (OP) pix that her neck doesn't match her face but it could just be a nice make-up on her face.
I have ash blonde hair and do not think I will let it go gray when the time comes.
