This case has gone on for far too long.

Why can it not be resolved instead of dragging everything out forever.

I feel so sorry for Halyna Hutchins' family trying to move forward after her death.  Everything is dredged up yet again and must be so painful for them.

It's possible it may be the family's desire to see exactly what and how their loved one was shot by a gun in Alec Baldwin's hand.

I don't think it's all about Alec Baldwin the actor, but the fact he was a producer and part of a/the production team.

The "decision" is up to the trial jury and a date for that has yet to be set.  That's how the justice system (fortunately) works.

The Hannah Gutierrez-Reed jury selection for her trial begins in about 3 weeks.

He was indicted back in January. This is OLD news.

His trial is coming up soon. Jury selection begins tomorrow.

@Trailrun23 ...They are having Motion Hearings from both sides today...Tomorrow, Jury Selection will begin and the Trial is to start on Wednesday, according to Court TV.

Do you think it would be best to start a new thread (Alec Baldwin Trial) as this thread dates back to January when he was indicted?

Is this a surprise?

To shoot someone if the gun is in your possession is the issue.

It's an involuntary manslaughter, so they have to follow the law and he will receive what the judge decides following a trial and verdict.

No one is a felon until after a verdict goes to sentencing.

He has no record therefore he might be found innocent with circumstances revolving

around the gun and it's handler. She was found guilty.

Wait and see after trial, then verdict and then to sentencing.

I do believe there is a CIVIL case pending by the family of the deceased.

That is what happened in the Jeffrey McDonald murder case.  The guy could have gotten away with murder if he didn't go on talk shows to be interviewed.  His father-in-law saw how callous he was about the murders and he started a more intense investigation into the killings.

If you have a gun in your hand, you had better verify what is in it before you point and shoot.  It's consequesces of actions.

Nobody should take someone else's word there is no live ammo before you point a GUN and someone and PULL the trigger.  Unless you might not mind killing them.  Guns aren't toys.  People kill people with guns.
