Does anyone remember the small market (I think now out of business) where instead of having produce on refrigerated shelves, shoppers would enter a refrigeration room. The produce was on a big table. I hated that. Can't remember the name.

Could it have been Bottom Dollar?

@occasionalrain Maybe. Did they have refrigeration rooms? I have never seen that setup anywhere else.

Yes, at the front, to the right as you entered. Aldi bought many of their stores, some they remodeled and opened them as an Aldi.

Our old Aldi's was a nice size store. But they moved into a brand new made

for them store around 4 months ago and it is smaller.

They have good bread, cheese and a few other items. But I don't think that

their prices are all that great. I have noticed a lot of their items like generic

corn flakes, yogurt have risen much higher but that is in all stores.

We receive their ads and I went in yesterday to see their sheets sets that

were advertised as they were beautiful yellow sheets. Of course, 3 days into

the sale, none left. Also went looking for a large box of soft pretzels, early

into the week and all gone.

In the old store they always had an abundance of items. I will still shop there

but I never buy big orders.
