Thanks to everyone for taking time to post...your thoughts and comments were interesting and funny .

A vacation for me is when the cats allow me to sleep in until 6:00 in the morning! I used to be a night person B.C. (Before Cats). Funny how you change your routine because of those little furry creatures.

We use the alarm clock but the cats wake us just before it goes off. They want their daily routine to start. They are very good as alarm clocks.

We don't have a cat but my MIL has 2 and she says the same thing.

I set an alarm clock for 5:30 but one of the kitties starts early. Today he got up BEFORE 5.

We stayed overnight for a wedding last Saturday and I got up at 9:15 on Sunday. It was heavenly!

I do if I have to be somewhere early.....I can't depend on myself to wake up....

No alarms in the Channing household. I roll out of bed usually around 11am and the husband tells me he gets up around 10am.

Sometimes I'll just pretend to be sleeping and hope the dogs will give up and lay back down.

Oh do I hear you loud and clear. That is a weekend ritual here. It works about half the time!

I have one but I don't set it, I get up on my own. The stupid thing goes off randomly at different times of the day.

Re: Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

Here is a funny compilation of cat ""alarm clocks"" for anyone who is interested:

http://1funny.com/cat-alarm-clocks/

And here's one for the dogs;

You can see the difference between the two -- the subtlety of the cats vs the exuberance of the dogs. lol
