Yes, my husband has one on his side of the bed (but he wakes up automatically because hes used to getting up at 4AM!).

AND I have one on my side but I don't work, SO I just set it if I have to be up for a certain reason and I have been known to turn it OFF..lol. All Summer my daughter called me 2 hours before I was to get my 3 granddaughters to make sure I was up. (Because I have bad insomnia and am up most nights till 4 AM or later).

Really all alarm clocks should be placed across the room so one doesn't turn it off...lol.

Yes I am old school in that way. I wake up to Morning Edition on NPR every morning.

Yes I do and the same clock has gone off faithfully every weekday morning at 4:30 for years.

I just can't seem to kill that thing no matter how hard I hit it

I have not used one in years...I wake up at the same time every day, I'd love to sleep in until 6:30........

we have a clock set on a college radio station -----I usually use my iphone

I don't always have early commitments, but when I do I set two alarm clocks, one in another room adjacent. I can slap off the one near my bed so fast that I don't really wake up. I have to get up to turn the other off.

I only use it when I have an early appt. I have one of those Pottery Barn old fashioned round alarm clocks. I have the medium size in brushed nickel. Just set the time, and "ding" the button on top!

This thing weighs a ton, is solid, and the best clock we ever had. I keep it on the bathroom counter.
