Re: Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

I use my Bose wave radio set for music to wake me up. I love the way it starts out playing softly, then ramps up to the volume that I set. I have cats too, but still like the alarm to go off as backup in case the cats decide to be lazy. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

NO.....don't own one anymore. If I do have to make sure I'm awake extra early (to catch a flight), I set an alarm on my iPhone......it works great!

Nope. Haven't used one in many years. Not even when I was still working.

Re: Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

I could never get used to a buzzing or ringing alarm. And there were times years ago when the sound will incorporate itself into my dreams. Ever get up, dress, the whole routine only to find out it was a dream then end up sleeping late?

Now I usually wake up around 5:30 AM (does not matter what time I get to bed) after getting up at 5:45 so many years. We set our TV in the bedroom to come on at 6. The noise and light is enough and makes me attentive enough to listen to the weather and news. The next best thing is setting the radio to a country station... it annoys me awake!

Re: Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

OMG yes. Not only do I use/need an alarm clock but I use the snooze button as well. I even put the alarm clock across the bedroom thinking if I had to get out of bed, I'd stay out of bed. Nope. I stomp across the bedroom, slap the snooze button and stomp back to bed for another 10 minutes.

I am absolutely not a morning person.

Re: Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

The only time I use my alarm to wake me up is when I have an early doctor's appointment. Don't want to chance sleeping past the time I'm due in there....... And most of the time I am awake when my body says it's time to get up....... I do love my sleep though......

Retired last year, but have kept my Sony CD alarrm clock/radio. When I need to use the alarm feature, I set it on CD, which plays the Johnny Carson Theme. That really wakes me up.

I always set it though I'm usually awake before it goes off.
