Re: Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

I wish I needed one, I don't sleep well and I am usually up between 4-5 in the morning. When our kids were younger I could barely get out of bed. They were my alarm clock. I wish I could sleep like I use to.

Alarm on my cell phone if I allow it go off before I wake up. Not usually needed. I still have the alarm clock on my night stand but never set it just for time only.

We have a Bose radio that is set to come on to music at 6:00 AM. But we are always awake before the music starts.

Re: Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

I'm not a morning person so need an alarm... plus I get to battle with it everyday by hitting the snooze button at least 2-3 times before I finally crawl out of bed.

Re: Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

My DH uses a clock/ radio....it goes off 4 times hitting snooze....spaced out over 10 minutes between each time.... Blaring rock. He gets up at 4 am for work. Thus I also get up at 4 AM. It's OK. I am an early riser.

Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

Not an external one. This old body seems to be able to respond on it's own when it comes to knowing what time to wake my up. At times when I have to get to the hospital by 7am, it wakes me up in plenty of time to take care of whatever my needs might be, and still get to the hospital before my scheduled time.

When I have nothing related to time scheduled it wakes me up when it wakes me up. And it does not require some type of noise maker, be it a bell/horn/whistle/music or a Drill Sergeant to do so.

Re: Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

No alarm clock in our bedroom for at least 5 years. When my husband and I worked, we got up at the same time, left the house at the same time, so I used my cell phone alarm to wake us each morning. Now that we are retired, I still use the cell alarm if we have to get up early; otherwise, we get up when we're ready. We like our bedroom to be dark and cool when we sleep; no lights whatsoever.

Re: Alarm Clocks...Do You Use One

I love the early mornings and get up at 5 a.m. seven days a week, year round.

Don't need an alarm, cannot wait to get up.
