I don't do wine either. Someone suggested that I get a
Bacardi Cocktail on the rocks.

I enjoy wine but not cocktails so much.
But sometimes I enjoy a Vodka and Tonic with a twist of lime, though you have to like the flavor of quinine. For some reason I love its sweet bitterness.

if you dont like a tom collins you can always order a vodka collins.....an easy switch.

I had a peach bellini "martini" at lunch yesterday - vodka, peach nectar, peach schnapps and a splash of champagne. It was delightful.
I use "quotes" around the word martini because IMO what are commonly called martinis in today's restaurants and bars bear little to no resemblance to a traditional martini, they've just appropriated the word.
I love the word delightful so much to describe a really good drink.
This is one of my favorite restaurants, @Irshgrl31201, in part because their drinks menu is extensive and creative, AND there is liquor in the drink, i.e. you aren't paying martini prices for a drink you'd swear had no alcohol in it. At this restaurant they all pack a punch. One is perfect, with a meal. I had a lobster roll with my "martini" and it really was delightful 😜
Wow @Moonchilde everything you had sounds delicious! I love lobster rolls! Drink menus sure have changed to what they were 20 yrs ago. I don't remember all these beautiful, tasty hand crafted drinks back then. However, I was really broke so maybe I wasn't going to those types of restaurants/bars because I couldn't afford it.
@Irshgrl31201, as I recall, 20 years ago the drinks were either simple, like gin & tonic or whisky & soda, or they were "umbrella drinks" often made with rum & fruit juice. I think *real* martinis were kinda "out" 20 years ago.
My go-to cheapie has always been gin & tonic. To me, the type of drinks younger people are dubbing "martinis" these days are what were all the rage in the Roaring 20s - just termed "cocktails." They've always been more expensive than the simple combos. But nowadays, $9-10 is cheap for them. So AFAIC, one had better do it for me at that price!

How about a whiskey sour? A little sweet, a little tart...I always order these while I'm at the casino!
