The Pats are to visit the WH today.
He was acquitted of charges in a double murder that happened in 2012, not the 2013 murder of semi pro football player Odin Lloyd in 2013 for which he WAS convicted. So he would still be serving life without parole for the murder of Lloyd. Guess he couldn't handle it.
Yes, he was found guilty of killing OL, so OL wouldn't tell of the murder of the 2 men he was just aquitted of killing.
He had an appeal pending on the OL conviction. The aquittal may have helped in his appeal. That's why the timing seems odd to me.

This man was a psychopath, a real one. Just not enough evidence with a shakey prosecution witness in the second case. He just threw away everything, a great life if he worked at it and even his family, down the toilet - to be a gang guy!! It's incredible he committed suicide - wasn't he in prison all day every day with his homies - who he obviously wished to spend all of his time with versus football players and family.

You can't apply logical answers to why psycotic people do what they do.

@Bri36 Yes but obviously old enough to ruin a lot of lives.

I just read that Tom Brady has cancelled his visit to the WH. He was Aaron's mentor.

I highly doubt this has anything to do with Tom Brady cancelling-

@KingstonsMom - Nothing Brady could have done - money, power, getting in with the wrong crowd. Hernandez could have taken another road, but chose not to.

@shoesnbags - I'm sure after he was acquitted he thought this attorney could get his murder conviction overturned too - the minute I heard he was acquitted, I thought, oh well, money talks doesn't it, now he'll appeal his murder conviction and get off on that too.

Exactly he had more opporunities than most and he threw them away to be a thug
he had a way out -he chose to stay in that life -even after his initial success in the NFL
which he could have continued on with and lived a charmed life-done something positive -he didn't
I don't feel sorry for him

Wow. He was messed up but I did not think he would kill himself.
