I saw this mentioned on the Today Show this morning. They also said his family hadn't been notified yet. Isn't that nice, they get to hear about it on the news.
What happened to the days of notifying the family before the media?

The Pats are to visit the WH today.
I agree! Too bad, if he was going to do it, he didn't do it before the trial and save the taxpayers even more money than he saved them now by not having to support him for the rest of his miserable life.

What's ironic is Hernandez murdered a "witness" to a double murder, allegedly committed by Hernandez.
Hernandez was convicted of murdering the witness, but there was not enough evidence to convict him of the double murder. So he killed the witness for nothing.
Appropriate end to a life of very bad decisions.

He was acquitted of charges in a double murder that happened in 2012, not the 2013 murder of semi pro football player Odin Lloyd in 2013 for which he WAS convicted. So he would still be serving life without parole for the murder of Lloyd. Guess he couldn't handle it.

Answer = $$$$$$$
At the beginning of his rookie year he was given a trial period to see if he could stay out of trouble. It was never about the money. It was about his behavior.

He grew up hard and rough. He didn't have the maturity or support network to shake it. It takes a lot of intestinal fortitude to rise above the way you were raised- especially for someone so young. A waste of a life. Very sad to me.

There will be a docu or movie made about him, no doubt. Seems his life had all the elements needed to make it an interesting show about a psycho.

His Odin Lloyd conviction was going to be appealed which looked "very positive" that his "lawyer" (same guy who got Casey Anthony off) would be able to win on appeal.
IMHO, karma intervened. In the end, one less scumbag for us taxpayers to support!
