I actually thought it might have been Tom Golisano, the owner of Paychex, former owner of the Buffalo Sabres and another client too (when he ran for Guv of NY and another business he co-owned).
He lives in Naples - for tax purposes he left NY a while ago. He's engaged now to Monica Seles (former tennis star).
Larry just did business in Naples...he and his wife were going down for a long weekend.

terrier, so very sorry for the loss of your friends and clients. Isn't it amazing when some thing is going on and you get those feelings that you know the people, and those feelings just won't let go. Again condolences to you and these persons families.

So sorry Terrier, We were just watching this on Fox news. I hope they find out what happened for the family's sake and recover the bodies.
It's a miracle they didn't crash into a populated area.

As stated in the title...if the gentleman died, did the woman survive?

No. She died too. They were incapacitated due to lack of oxygen & the plane flew on autopilot until it ran out of fuel.

Larry owned a lot of big downtown buildings, including the hospital that closed on Alexander Street & now is a medical center. B&L is one of the biggest buildings in Rochester...and he was renovating the Midtown Plaza.
When they said a private plane flying from Rochester to Naples...I thought of Tom Golisano because that's where he moved to. With tax laws, he can only visit NY State for a certain # of days a year.

To everybody in Rochester or the area!
He owned the downtown mall (which he was developing), the Xerox Building, the Bausch & Lomb Building, an office complex where we worked...just about all the large properties. His wife had a catalogue/online business.
I think they knew for quite a while it was Larry & Jane, but they waited until the plane was down before announcing the people on board.
He was very involved in revitalizing upstate NY.
Very sad, terrier!

So much sad news lately. A pilot from my home town just crashed and died the other day. He was a townie. I didn't know him personally, but according to interviews from friends and neighbors he was a great guy and an experienced pilot. He was flying in his Cesna which he had flown for 50+ years. Sorry for your loss.

I just read about this on yahoo news. It's very sad, I am so sorry. Becki
