Remember when Payne Stewart's (the golfer) plane flew for miles after everyone was unconscious? The cabin lost pressure, everyone was unconscious and the plane continued flying on auto-pilot until it ran put of fuel & crashed. Fighter jets flew alongside & saw the pilot was slumped over the controls and unresponsive.

I had MSNBC on XM in the car and every time I got in the car to drive, they were talking about the location of the plane. It finally ran out of fuel & went down near Jamaica. His son must have been beside himself hearing the flight of the plane.

How tragic, so sorry for your loss terrier.

Is this the plane they kept talking about? I kept seeing a crawler on CNBC that said there was a plane with an unconscious and slumped over pilot and an F-15 jet was following it. But then it said the plane hit Cuban air space and they had to stop following.

The plane crashed in the ocean about 20 miles off the Jamaican coastline.

I missed that. The sound isn't up on the tv in the office so I saw the crawler then they went to something else and I never saw another thing about the plane.

Very sad.

These "ghost" planes give me the chills. What a sad story, terrier. It sounds like the pilot knew he had a problem at one point but said he didn't need assistance. That was the last communication.
