A question about British monarchy

I know why Harry and Megan's baby will be seventh in line to the throne but I have a hypothetical question:  if Charles dies before becoming king does that change who then becomes ruler.  Would it still be William or perhaps Anne?  I've researched this but haven't come up with a definitive answer.

Prince William will be next if his Dad does not become King for any reason.

I think Camilla would become Queen.  Just kidding - it's a good question.  My guess is that William would then be King.

Re: A question about British monarchy

If Charles dies before becoming King (for example, before his mother dies), William moves up a spot, so to speak.  The order of sucession remains unchanged.

Wikipedia has a good article on the order of sucession.  Officially, the list is pretty darn long!

I think it's interesting that Charles' and Andrew's children are princes and princesses but Anne's children are not.

The Queen made the offer to give them titles when they were born and the Princess Anne  and her husband declined the offer.  Only male line heirs are born with titles, Princess Anne herself had to be given the title upon her birth.
