Now if you can let me know how to reset the unlock doors rather just the driver door I will be in you debt. Don't mean the child proof, that one I found.
I own a Volks' Beetle and on my key gadget I have to push the door unlock button twice to open driver and passenger doors. Maybe that's what you have to do also. Just a guess.

I am with you on not knowing how to work 50% of things. Everything I wanted I got and never want to appear stupid when the salespeople or service explain to me. My biggest thrill is after three years in my car, which I keep for 7, I was able to change the mood lighting to go with the season or holidays.

We have a 1996 Subaru Outback that belonged to a member of my family who hardly drove it. It has less than 50k miles on it. We bought it outright when she wanted a newer model. The car is in almost new condition. No one ever sat in the back seats.
I don't drive it often, only when my car is getting worked on or I am parked in and can't get out of the driveway.
One extremely hot day in August, I drove it to VA. I turned the AC on, but the car was getting hotter and hotter. My butt was on fire!
The car has heated seats. I never knew it and couldn't figure out how to turn them off. I looked everywhere for a button.
Finally after a few hours, I pulled into a shopping center parking lot and got out the owners manual. The button was on the center console in between the front seats. I must have hit the button when I dropped my handbag there.
Who knew heated seats were an option in 1996?

I think a few years back, something went off in the car we had at that time and we had no idea. The tire on the back of the car, was flat. Who knew?! They need a "for dummies" part in their manuals for us. LOL

This topic is REALLY a welcome relief from............the "other" topic.
I LOVE Ford cars. I LOVE THEM.
But the last Ford Before the TWO that we have. Ow (an Escape) BAFFLED me with DOOHICKEYS.
I NEVER learned how to use all the stuff on that car. To ADD to the fun, the equipment on different sized Fords IS NOT CONSISTENT. So when I drove the Escape, I was using DIFFERENT DOOHICKEYS from when Iwas drivi g the FLEX.
WHY THE DICKENS IS THAT? If I've been sold the fact that the Escape has THE BEST doohickeys Ford has EVER PRODUCED, how can the doohickeys on the FLEX be just as good but DIFFERENT??
But as I mentioned when I started.............a much enjoyed and appreciated relief!!

Memories.... when my mom lived with me several years ago, her two "baby" sisters would visit during the afternoon. My driveway was on a slope, and everyone who visited hated parking at the top, so my sweet aunts would park the Subaru on the street and walk up.
Hot summer that year, made worse because my aunt then decided her air conditioning didn't work. Hubs showed her how to use it. Still complaints. Hubs drove it. Heated seats on full tilt. PROBLEM SOLVED!

Wow you all drive your vehicles and don't even know what half the buttons and features are for? Really? I guess I'm just a very observant person. smh

Might I suggest it is time for MANY drivers to try out various light switches, get out of the car and observe what's on and what isn't, try next switch and repeat process. Many drivers take for granted their real headlights on when in fact it's only front running lights. So obvious when drivers out on rainy days or dusk. It's scary observing drivers without lights and basically unrecognizable to others. PLEASE.

First time my husband bought a brand new pickup truck, I decided to run to a neighborhood convenience store with it.
Wanted to see how smooth (and quiet) it ran compared to his older ones.
Well, it was bumpy! So was my driving as I never really learned how to use a stick shift....
Got home and mentioned it to him and he said I was nuts.
Later he went out and a tire was flat, flat, flat. (Brand new tire!). It was flat the whole way to the store and back. You could see the rim marks when I backed out and where I parked when I came home. Yikes!
