This woman found a way to lift the spirits of evacuees in a shelter through her galvanizing gospel performance. She and her singing friends using their talents for good!
So glad someone recorded it for us to see the spirit of these wonderful people coping in desperate circumstances!

Thank you so much for sharing an uplifting story.
I think everyone needs these.
I was just in tears from reading reports coming from Texas and I'll look for this one!
I know out of all this tragedy we will continue to hear so many stories of courage and heroism and hope.

In several days the national media will be gone and on to another story. The struggle to rebuild from Harvey will seldom be mentioned except locally. We know from the few stories long after Sandy and Katrina the rebuilding takes years for those who are lucky. Some have yet to recover. The need for help is endless. I pray for all who have had to endure these storms.

@Oznell, I'm Jewish-but that beautiful song makes me want to believe!
This is so totally precious......people lifting hearts and souls.
In the end,you can't take anything with you
.what you own really doesn't matter. We tend to classify people according to that....
But here she is-probably lost everything, but she has faith....
I loved this: this event is teaching us so much.I just hope in the months to come, we remember.
Hugs and hugs- seeing this is so much better than seeing the talent shows on TV.....
Hugs dear friend,

I listen to a radio station called K-LOVE. They play contemporary Christian music and always have positive, uplifting stories.
They had this video on their website. Just amazing. You have to love the faith these people have. Praising God in the middle of their troubles is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Think about it. Most of these people have lost everything. Yet they raise their voices in praise. ![]()
