A Heads Up to Tracfone Users

I just renewed my yearly service plan with Tracfone - I get triple air, text and data minutes. Earlier this month I received a $15 off promo code. I went to use it and then read the fine print. Beware, if you opt for the $15 off, they will NOT triple your services. Glad I read it prior to entering the code. The triple minutes get me through the year, with time left over.

That’s awesome. Our minutes are tripled as long as we own our phones. DH is slow to go through his minutes but I use up the texts. lol

Thanks for the promo info.

@OKPrincess, it's the exact opposite on my end! About a month before my husband's plan is up he asks to use my phone to make calls as he's almost out of minutes! That man and his buddies can talk - and never about anything remotely interesting - lol!

That’s another subject. Still the best part is we aren’t paying a monthly contract. With two exceptions we keep up with the big boys just fine.🙂

Re: A Heads Up to Tracfone Users

We have Tracfones just for emergency use on the road, electricity going off for extended periods of time or calling in a pizza from the road.

No way would I use it instead of a home phone. Computes out to about 45 cents a minute on a Tracfone. My home phone I can talk unlimited time any where within 50 states.

Tracfone, is a necessary luxury in these times how we use it. I have 4700 minutes on mine. LOL

Re: A Heads Up to Tracfone Users

you may already know this, but you can log onto Tracfone.com and purchase just texts if, like myself, you use way more texts than talk or data...pretty darned inexpensive too!..I believe I get 1000 texts for $5.00.....so I just load up and get about $25.00 worth...lasts me a good long time!

Re: A Heads Up to Tracfone Users

TracFone is a great. I have triple minutes too & almost 3000 carry over minutes so now I buy a 30 minute card for $9.99 & add on a 1 year no minutes card for $50.00 at checkout, it fits my tight budget & it's easy. Before the triple minutes program ended I bought a second phone as a backup, it can be activated at any time. Thanks @Its Me LuLuBelle2 for the coupon heads-up, lots of my family & friends have triple minutes.

@kitcat51, after being a Tracfone user for 3 years I can't imagine ever going back to a monthly service plan. What a huge difference in price!

Yes! I'm still talking on the 1200 minutes that came with a phone I bought back in spring of 2014.

But I go through about 10,000 texts a year.

With a year of service, that's a hundred bucks a year.
