Re: 3rd quarter financial results 2025 released

I don't think this CEO has been willing to make the very difficult changes that must be made to a failing business.

This raising prices to save the Q is a complete failure. That's not the way to save.

The Q has been like a leaky faucet, drip, drip, dripping and failing for years.

It seems time the very hard changes must be made and closed down. When failing, you can't "expand" but instead constrict.

All over. Layoffs. All of it needed, if you want to save.

It seems CEO unwilling.

This is the second quarterly financial call where QVC Group did not allow questions from analysts.  Another clue to some very serious plans in the works that they need to keep under lock & key with no further discussions about their debt situation.

They are still hiring hosts.  Lisa Tancredi and at least one other host, Cortney Hicks, are both in training for their host positions.

Social media is growing much better for them than linear TV, so that total sales focus may come much sooner than we think.

@Caaareful Shopper  They wouldn't have to hire more hosts if they used one host per shift. They did just fine years ago with each host doing a four hour shift 24/7. We don't need two hosts and a presenter. Too much talking over each other, and not enough detail given.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

Increasingly, there are so many people on the stage it's down right nerve-wracking. For me, the frenzy does not promote sales, it induces me to move on.

As for the CEO, while he hasn't made huge and necssary changes, in my opinion, it was the last CEO who stayed way too long at the fair and left this guy an utter mess to try to clean up. He was paid and rewarded obscenely and personally, I never could understand why. I'm no expert, but he seemed to be the one that drove QVC to the brink of no return.

I was hoping that @THEY CallMe Mr Wilkes  would do their usual bang up job on posting the financial numbers that were released Wednesday would be posted.  I cannot do it the justice that they do.  My simple interpretation is that it's not looking promising.

There will not be a qvc in this way. 🤔

Do You know what would keep them afloat …

FREE SHIPPING on anything over $35 !!

Even Shawn, when asked what would YOU do if YOU were running QVC

Her answer was offer FREE SHIPPING ALL THE TIME !!! 😜

@RescueLover That would mean cutting quality, selling a cheaper product for the same price to recoup shipping.  Shipping costs money.  Shipping has to be paid out of the pocket no matter if you see the price of shipping or if it is included with the price and not mentioned to the customer.

I think they need to find a way to reduce shipping as the number of same items are bought.  If e-bay can do that I'd think QVC could.  Shipping one and only one item at a time always is stupid.

Back when QVC first started, they were pretty much the only online shopping venue available.  I learned about it when I visited my mother in the 80's.  A decade later, I was on bedrest for pregnancy and it became my go-to for shopping.

Times have changed dramatically, but unfortunately, QVC has not.  They need to offer free and faster shipping and returns and offer more products for the younger generations.  Not everyone is over 50 and fabulous.

Re: 3rd quarter financial results 2025 released

"but faced challenges in the home and electronics categories." Electronics could be a money maker for them, but they keep doing the dumb bundles instead of just selling products. I want to buy a PlayStation Portal, and it's a $199 product. They sell it here as a bundle at $350. If I buy it and the Sony authorized charger, carry case, and screen protectors directly from Sony (or most retailers), it's $275  with no shipping charge. So, why pay $75 more to buy from QVC and get the unauthorized/generic charger, case, and screen protectors? Because they throw in a cheap set of generic earbuds? No. For the delayed shipping that comes with QVC? No.

You have to give consumers a reason to shop through you, and they give me more reasons not to than to. (By the way, I'm waiting to see if anyone has it marked down for Black Friday before I buy anywhere. We're close enough that I can wait a few weeks.) If QVC offered the same item at a fair price with fast shipping, I'd consider giving them the business. They don't. It kills them in the electronics retail sector.
