I have but only one major credit card, and I keep it paid off as well as check on my online acct. frequently. Like with most everyone that has one, it gets hacked on occasion. While checking the other day, I saw a charge that wasn't authorized sitting in the temporary charges section. So I immediatley called and reported it as such, and acct. was closed and a new card sent out. Good timing too, as the next day there were like 8 more unathourized charges sitting in temporary charges. Not this time! Yesterday I received my new card, and was astonished that the last 4 numbers on the card are the exact last 4 numbers of my SS#! Coincidence? Not sure if I should keep this one or request another. Maybe it's not a good idea to keep it, but I haven't called yet to inquire and report it. Just, what are the odds? So, I prefer to look at this as a positive good luck situation. Would any of you keep the card, or would you request a new one? Just curious.

Keep it.  Yes, it's a coincidence.

The last four digits aren't enough to steal your identity.

Weird for sure but I'd keep it.

Perhaps my coffee hasn't kicked in yet, but I don't understand ....  what kind of potential "danger" are you concerned about?

Yes, it's a weird coincidence, but even if someone knew what those last 4 digits meant, what could they do with them?

Personally, I'd keep it.

It's just a coincidence but if you don't feel comfortable with it request a new card @KittySoftPaws

@kitcat51 Yeah, of course one's first reaction is that of security because of the numbers and in which they are on the card, but the more I think about it, it's probably just fine.

Honestly, it would freak me out too and my first reaction would be whoa....that's not good!

Your concern is understandable for sure.
