AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Public Health is investigating a large group of people with a cluster of positive COVID-19 cases returning from a Spring Break trip to Mexico, the agency said Tuesday.
APH says about a week-and-a-half ago, the group comprised of approximately 70 adults in their 20s left for a spring break trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Currently, 28 of the 70 have tested positive for COVID-19, and more of them are under public health investigation. The University of Texas at Austin confirmed all 28 people who tested positive were UT students.

@Marp I am not surprised at all about this turn of events. You can teach a dog to sit and stay, but humans are another issue.

Horrible, but predictable. And that's only one small group. The pictures of the spring-breakers in Florida are scary!

I just feel sorry for the other residents of Austin whose exposure to the virus has now increased because of these idiots.

So irresponsible. They're not "adults" yet, but maybe they will learn how to be some day.
Some people just want what they want and do what they want, no matter what the consequences.

Keeping my mouth shut.

I feel sorry for a lot of young adults whose parents didn't teach them that there are dangers, they will need to work most likely to live well, and that you have to look out for yourself. They deserved better parents.

Not surprising and my sympathy is with anyone who has come into contact with these "kids."

Exactly! They don't seem to think/care about whatever happens with their irresponsibility. But they are spreading it to others and that is unconscionable. This kind of behavior will affect this probably by hundreds fold.
I'm of the belief that you can do whatever you want with your own body. If you want to kill yourself, you have that right. But you do NOT have the right to irresponsibly cause illness and death of others by your own stupid behavior. This angers me to the nth degree.
