Saw this on IG and thought I would share if you make any promises to yourself.
Don't Forget! You Can:
* Start late
* Start over
* Be unsure or uncertain
* Look different
* Act different
* Try and fail and still be a success

@Laura14......haven't made any resolutions in years. Always hard to keep.....

Me neither @ShowMe. Although every year I tell myself to calm down and not care so much. I matter too.
I have to say some recent posts on here pointing that out have helped me remember to do just that. I plan to take that thought into the new year and be me more often rather than the expectation of what I can do for everyone else instead.

To celebrate another birthday.

I take a virtue or an attribute to work on through the year.
Patience, mercy, liberality, diligence, courage and endurance, and intellectual insighfulness are all things I've worked on in the past.
I worked on the last one by reading everything I can find that stands in opposition to my own preferred conclusions. Politics is an obvious venue to use, although certainly not the only one. Religion is another. It makes me better able to articulate and support my own positions, or perhaps even change them. Enlightenment is never a bad thing and that is the only way to achieve it.
I keep a small journal through the year and I write down anything inspirational when I come across it. It gives me a powerful reservoir to draw from when I need a reminder or an encouragement.

That is inspiring @Oostende. I may steal a couple of these. Thank you very much for sharing!

I normally do not make resolutions.
Why start on January 1st when there is room for improvement now?

Thank you for this contribution. I, too, work on myself and it is interesting to hear how other people choose to not only improve their lives but recognize who they are and implement their ability to grow and evolve.
