Very thoughtfully worded and so true. I spent many years as a young woman reading every dog training book I could get my hands on. I so wish everyone would read a good book on ""how a dog thinks and feels"" before they get one. They are truly ""mans best friend"" if given half a chance. My heart aches every time I hear one has been abused. It's not that hard to find out what it takes to be a good pet owner but people are so busy worrying about what they need from their pet they don't take time to find out what it is that their pet needs.
