What a bittersweet list. And so true. It breaks my heart when people abuse animals thinking they don't have these complex emotions. Number 10 on the list brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing this, Chloe Piper.

I don't understand animal abuse any more than child abuse. It's too bad that a list even has to be made.

Hi dooBdoo, my sweet and wonderful friend! It's so good to "see" here more often. I think of you often, even if we don't meet up all that much. ${#emotions_dlg.wub}$

I'm sure Chloe Piper will see our greetings, and be okay with a few exchanges between us.

I really love animals, and it makes me sick to know when they're being abused. I saw some information about the strays being adopted in Russia by the Olympians. I hope they're not stopped from bringing them back home. ${#emotions_dlg.huh}$

Thanks, dear rondell! ${#emotions_dlg.wub}$ I don't read or post here as much as before, but I always enjoy seeing your "take" on topics.

The coverage of the treatment of stray dogs in Russia was upsetting, and I do wonder if there will be a problem getting the adopted pups out of the country. One benefit to these stories, though: it's always good to focus the media lens on the plight of animals needing better care.
