@CANDLEQUEEN, stick with "We Need to Talk About Kevin"!  I am amazed at the wisdom in that book, and the heartbreak, and there's that ending.  When the Newtown/Sandy Hook shooting happened my mind went right back to that book.  I was very disappointed in the movie.  Can't wait to learn what you think of the book!

@kitty45, yay for Ove!  Inch by inch that book has become a bestseller purely by word of mouth!

Just finished The Woman in Cabin 10. Loved it! I ordered it for my daughter-in-law because it's gripping and you can't put it down.

I'm in the middle of The Last Mile by David Balducci.  It is the Amos Decker series.  Pretty good.

They say it's reminiscent of an Agatha Christie mystery. That's enough for me, I'm on it.

This is a record for me.  I ptb after 1 page on Laurell K. Hamilton's A Stroke of Midnight.  I picked it up at a Little Free Library and wanted something different to read.

Onto Debbie Macomber's 204 Rosewood Lane.  A more familiar genre for me - contemporary.

Re: What are you reading? OCTOBER 2016

I needed a break from some heavy duty research/reading and went looking for some interesting fiction for entertainment and escape.  I saw a write-up on Miss Peregrine's Home for Pecular Children.  It sounded interesting and is the first of a series - and I like series.

I downloaded a Kindle sample ... and decided to buy the book.  I'm enjoying it.
