I am reading A Piece of the World by Christina Baker Kline. I enjoyed her novel, Orphan Train. Just 10% in. So far, so good.📚

I'm reading Little Girl Gone by Gerry Schmitt. Did everyone but me know her pen name is Laura Childs, author of our fav Tea Shop mysteries?! And, let me just say, wow! Talk about different!

There was someone that was raving about Little Girl Gone - it is on my HOLD list at the library. There is a long line for it. @DukeBlueNan I didn't know Laura Childs wrote it, super cool and can't wait.

@Yahooey @DukeBlueNan well I did not know that either and I loved that book, Little Girl Gone.   Apparently we need to eat more sconces with extra clotted cream!

Our book club is reading Upstairs at the White House: My Life with the First Ladies by J.B. West with Mary Lynn Kotz.  It is a delightful read!  It is copyright 1973 so it is a bit older, but still enjoyable.

[ Edited ]

Finished Abbi Waxman's The Garden of Small Beginnings, an ARC thanks to Goodreads.  I'm rounding this up to a 3.5 since it wasn't quite a 4 star book in my opinion.

What a humorous book. I liked the well-developed characters who meet weekly to farm vegetables, fruit, flowers, etc. thanks to Lili's job as an illustrator. She becomes friends with the participants and the teacher of the class falls in love with her but mostly she can't forget her late husband Dan who was killed unexpectedly and tragically in front of their house even though it's been almost 3 years. Love Lili's quirky kids and sister and her egotistical mom. In between the chapters, there are tips on how to grow things with yet again a humorous edge.

Next up is Joy Callaway's Secret Sisters.  Another ARC win from Goodreads.

@Catty2, now that you've read "Big Little Lies" will you watch the series?  There were changes here and there I didn't like but overall it was remarkably well adapted into the miniseries.

I don't have HBO.  If I did I'd definitely watch to see how closely they follow the book.
