Re: What Are You Reading --- September 2015

SoX-I just finished "X" by Sue Grafton. I was a little disappointed. If I hadn't missed Kinsey & Henry so much I might not have finished it.

Just started "Finders Keepers" by Stephen King. It's a mystery & I didn't realize it was a sequel to "Mr Mercedes," which I did enjoy. It's pretty good right now but I'm only a couple chapters in.

Dead Wake by Erik Larson

The Rumor by Elin Hilderbrand

Starlight At Willow Lake by Susan Wiggs

X by Sue Grafton

I have finished Dead Wake and The Rumor.  Dead Wake was excellent and I really enjoyed The Rumor as well.  I am currently reading Starlight at Willow Lake and love it.  The next book I am going to read is X.  Can't wait to see what Kinsey Milhone is up to these days.  Love the alphabet mysteries by Sue Grafton.

If you haven't already read ERIK LARSON'S prior books; ISAAC'S STORM & DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY, I promise you will enjoy them; hands down my favorite of his.

Finished Secrets of the Sea House (also known as The Sea House) by Elisabeth Gifford.  It was good to the last drop!  I loved it!

Now I'm starting Kitchens of the Great Midwest by J. Ryan Stradal.  It's a novel, I know it involves food, is funny at times and dramatic too, and has gotten very good reviews so I hope it will hit the spot.

The Paris Key by Juliet Blackwell and The Solomon Curse by Clive Cussler were both released today.  I'm about 1/3 the way through the first one.  I read the new Sue Grafton book last week.

Wow, September is starting off with a bang!  Some good books here already.  My list just gets longer.  I'll have to put the gardens down for the winter early and get started on my list.  Happy reading everyone.  LM

PS Almost finished THE NATURE OF THE BEAST by Louise Penny.  Will review when done.

I've only just started, but it seems to be moving along at Sue's usual pace ... we'll see ...

Re: What Are You Reading --- September 2015

I had some catching up to do with the Lakeshore Chronicles by Susan Wiggs, so I just finished Return to Willow Lake and Candlelight Christmas. Now I am ready for Starlight on Willow Lake, just as soon as it's my turn at the library.

In the meantime, I am reading Happines Key by Emilie Richards, 204 Rosewood Lane by Debbie Macomber, and Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King.  Love some reading variety!

BOLD SPIRIT by Linda Lawrence Hunt.

Helga Estby's forgotten walk across victorian America. A true story of a Norwegian immigrant and mother of eight children in 1896 was behind in mortgage and taxes when she learned that a mysterious sponsor would pay $10,000 to a woman who walked across America.
