I give up looking for how to quote, so I will just say that flowers, my post about The Girl on the Train was for you.

------------------

judaline, this is how to quote:

1. Click on the grey boxed (it will turn red when you place your cursor on it) "REPLY" in the post you want to quote (it's at the bottom right in the post, not the red boxed REPLY at the top of the page). This will open a box like you normally would type a post in.

2.  When the box comes up, click on the bolded "QUOTE" above the box on the right hand side. When you do this, what you want to quote will appear in the box.

3.  Type your message as you normally would under the quote.

4. Click on POST as you normally would and you will have a quoted post.

Thanks lainey and mrssweetie.

This new Board was very poorly constructed - QVC NEEDS TO GET A CLUE!

I keep gritting my teeth and reminding myself that QVC's main focus is not the Forums but SHOPPING. (That may be great on this new system -- I haven't been on that part of the web site to see.)  I'm trying very hard to appreciate that we have forums at all since I really do enjoy both the BOOKS and RECIPES sections, and I really hate that they made this big change right after we finally managed to get a separate section for Books.  SIGH!

FYI -- we actually got a response from a QVC rep  in the Recipes section:  "Unfortunately we had a very poor transistion of data from the old forums to the new which resulted in not receiving April, May, or June posts. So you will not see posts from that time frame.  We are still working to get the past 3 months revived but I am not sure how soon this will be happening."  So at least someone is offering some courtesy to us poor befuddled posters.

I was glad to see someone here experimented with SPOILER so now I know how that looks -- I was wondering.  Also, I unintentionally found out how well the new Autosave is working.  I was writing this post, went to copy the quote above, and accidentally closed Explorer.  When I reloaded and came back to this thread and hit REPLY to start over, I got a popup offering to RELOAD or DISCARD my draft. (YAY!)  Thanks to others who haveexperimented and  put helpful info here about how the new features work.

In addition to banging my head into my keyboard here on QVC, I have been reading Rhys Bowen's The Twelve Clues of Christmas.  It's listed as "A Royal Spyness Mystery."  I needed something fun and frothy and this has served nicely.  It's set in 1933 and is the first of her books I've read.

I recently read the first in this series, Her Royal Spyness and I'm now reading the 2nd one, A Royal Pain.  You described them perfectly, fun and frothy.  I'm really enjoying the series so far.

Just finished Searching For Grace Kelly by Michael Callahan.  Great read about 3 women in 1955 who live in the Barbizon Hotel in NY during the Summer while working Summer jobs.

Onto Jumpa Lahiri's The Namsake.  I think I'm late to the party reading this now but I'm just getting to my own books.  Man Happy

Re: What Are You Reading --- June 2015 (Part 2)

I am reading an old book that I grabbed off the bookshelf. Bought years ago. It's" Mexico" by James Michener.  I used to enjoy reading his books years ago.  I needed something a little more substantial than light romances or mysteries so I think this will do it.

Love this board!!

Re: What Are You Reading --- June 2015 (Part 2)

Spoiler

I started reading Radiant Angel by Nelson DeMille. It's his latest "John Corey" novel, and so far so good. It's not a terribly long book, by his standards, and several people on his Facebook page are complaining about how short it is. I don't need a long book, just a good one.

I still have Finders Keepers in my head, although I read it two books ago. Funny how Stephen King does that to me!

Happy reading everyone Smiley Happy

My library has Grey by E L James as an ebook so I placed a hold. 19 holds are ahead of mine.

Re: What Are You Reading --- June 2015 (Part 2)

Just finished the audiobook The Goldfinch by Donna Tart.  Although it was very long and sometimes wordy, I really enjoyed the book.  The ending was not great, but I'm glad I listened to it.

It is the kind of book that stays with you. I also listened to Lots of Candles, Plenty of Cake by Anna Quindlen and also really enjoyed it.  Would recommend both of these books.
