@LoriLori  I'm embarrassed to ask you this, but what was the name of the book about the "cat lady."  I only remember it was $4.99 on Amazon.  I should have ordered it when you first mentioned it.  I think I had too many other books to read at the time, but now I NEED it.  Please help!

Great timing!  It's

They Call Me the Cat Lady by Abby Miller

Can't wait for your review...I have four or five ahead of it (I was grabby when they first invited me into Vine and now it's coming back to bite me:  13 books and they expect reviews promptly; that's usually thirteen months of books for me!!!!!).

Reading

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes and Other Lessons from the Crematory by Caitlin Doughty

(My own book from my TBR pile and I wish I'd read it years ago; she's so funny and real and I'm not at all bothered by hte subject)

and

The Ghost Clause by Howard Norman,

one of my favorite writers.

It's a mystery about a missing girl which happens to have the late husband of the previous owner haunting the house...all his stuff is character and I love his writing (this one I'm under pressure to finish)

I'm on book #8 in the series written by Kathy Reichs, which the long running TV series "Bones" is based on.  I love a mystery thriller, and loved the TV series.

Re: What Are You Reading? July, 2019

I just finished Murder at the Boat Club (A Ginger Gold Mystery) by Lee Strauss.  The series is set in London in the 1920's.  This series has always been one of my favorites, but this new book is my least favorite.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Just finished Before the Fall by Noah Hawley.  Goodreads rates it 3.74 and I agree.  The book tells of a significant event from the perspective of all the players.  I thought the ending was a bit funny but a good book all in all.  LM

Re: What Are You Reading? July, 2019

I recently finished reading Windfallen by Jojo Moyes.  The story of a family starts when the children are young and all the things they go through as they grow up.  Also, finding the love of your life but not having a future together.  She is one of my favorite authors.  I just started another one of her books this week.
