@sunala, I have not read it but it's on my TBR list on Amazon:  "Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk" by Kathleen Rooney.  Looks great to me and has some great reviews.

I think you've read everything else I would recommend, and you've probably recommended some of those Smiley Happy

@LoriLori- that's so funny. I have Lillian Boxfish on my TBR list and I thought you had recommended it to me! You and I have shared many books since we met. So many good ones out there. Let's keep it up!

Re: WHAT ARE YOU READING? ~APRIL 2018~

I finished Bad Blood by John Sanford last night. He is my favorite author find for 2018 but I was not a fan of the subject matter of this book.

I started Phantom Evil by Heather Graham today while at work. So far it's holding my interest.

I'm currently reading Trumpocracy by David Frum.  It's a much more serious book than the gossipy Fire and Fury.  David Frum is a senior editor at The Atlantic and I've always thought he was an excellent writer.  This book is no exception.  It's very good.  (I hope just using the title of this book doesn't get this post deleted.)

Yesterday I saw it was out and went to put a hold on it and the library site said it was either checked out to me or I was already on hold for it.  @CareBears I had put this book on hold so far back I forgot all about it.  When I checked on my hold list not only was it there waiting on me but there were three other new releases in for me too.  First reader for all four books.  Raced to the library after work yesterday.  Reading it slow to make it last.Heart

Re: WHAT ARE YOU READING? ~APRIL 2018~

A Time of Love and Tartan (Alexander McCall Smith) finally became available to me.  I can't believe how long this book was on waitlist.  It's the next chapter in the 44 Scotland Street series (one of my favorites).

And speaking of a long waitlist, another book I've been waiting for is The Grave's a Fine and Private Place (Alan Bradley).  It seems like I've been in the #2 slot forever.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU READING? ~APRIL 2018~

I finished A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was more than just a quick-read romance novel. It had a little mystery and some unresolved conflict that will lend itself nicely to a sequel.  I also read Color Me Murder by Krista Davis. This is the first book in her new cozy mystery series, Pen and Ink. It had all kinds of wonderful things that I enjoy in a book: a fun setting (a bookstore), a whodunnit murder, a golden retriever, a little bit of romance, and recipes in the back. Plus the cover is meant to be colored!  It was a fun read.

Next up:

The Taster by VS Alexander (I still haven't started it yet)

Jade City by Fonda Lee

@smoky22, IMO the Flavia is worth the wait, the best of the entire series, so I hope you get it soon and you agree!!!
