This is my first John Grisham book  and I really liked it.  It was kinda slow paced and not a thriller. Kinda about law school dropout missfits but was tastefully done. I look forward to reading more of his books

I’m glad you liked The Rooster Bar as I have just started it.  Grisham books are a mixed bag though.

@tansy, I used to love Grisham until his some of his books were too formulaic.  Some of the big bad company v. Single lawyer ones were too predictable.  I haven't read him for awhile now.  I should try again as I really liked his earlier books.

I hate when when an author goes James Patterson style with JAMES PATTERSON in huge letters and 'with unknown author' beneath it on the book cover.  I skip those.  LM

I just finished Rogue Lawyer. It was pretty good. I’m not a big Grisham fan but read him once in a while for easy reading and an entertaining story.

I read Rooster Bar about two weeks ago and really enjoyed it.  My all time favorite was his first A Time To Kill.  It actually did not do well until it's re-release after the big hit of The Firm.  You have a lot to read and enjoy but some in the past few years have been a bit lacking from his beginning.  Hopefully he is coming back to his own with this latest book.
