Re: How do you keep track of books

[ Edited ]

My mom wrote in pencil inside the front cover the day she finished the book. She and her twin sister read all of the time. My uncle used to say he'd wake up in the middle of the night and my aunt would be reading!

I don't keep track - I just know. I will reread my favorites, especially if they're out of print. I will jot down a few notes about them and keep them inside the pages. Ones I'm not too keen on I will donate.

 I also read on my Nook. I can move my book when I'm finished with it, but I can choose to keep it in my library.  Smiley Happy

Re: How do you keep track of books

@smoochy I use Goodreads, and I have a reading journal that I update weekly. I get a new one every year.

To track books that I have read I use Goodreads.

Books that I wish to read, I actually keep TBR lists that I print off from a site called Fantastic Fiction.

Goodreads for me......It helps a lot because I sometimes read books with very similar titles, and that can be really confusing!!!

Re: How do you keep track of books

I'm old school all the way.....both my dad and my husband have always loved the good ole yellow "legal pad", and starting in 2015 I started using those to keep track of my reading. I list by month, new page for each and cumulative for year. I do it because I love taking my pages out and looking through them and putting them in order and generally just fussing with them. I usually have a kindle book, a paper book and an Audible going at once. Usually note by each what the format is. If anyone listens to the podcast or gets the newsletter from Modern Mrs Darcy book club, she has a journal for purchase in her merchandise. It's very complete and I have it bit tend not to need to be quite as detailed. Usually a star or exclamation mark or unhappy face reminds me how I liked it. Or nothing, which means I like, did not LOVE....  Also, Amazon will tell you if you have already purchased a book, which can be helpful. I LOVE my little book stack!  To each his own, yeah?😁😁

I don't keep track and don't have to because I usually read series.  I enjoy the character development from book to book.

The only author I'm a little fuzzy on are books by John Sanford.  I forgot which book I last read.

I love John Sandford. Yes it can be confusing because of many similar titles.

@smoochy I use Goodreads. You can use it to keep track of your books, search new books, and connect with your friends and other readers.📚

@smoochy

NOT to derail your conversation, but I think this is interesting ..
