Help me pick...

[ Edited ]

Three books to send a 60 year old male recovering from surgery.  These are what first came to mind.  What do you think?

The Outsider, Stephen King

I am Pilgrim, Terry Hayes

Still Life, Louise Penny.

Interested to hear your comments.  Will be ordering later today.  TIA.  LM

PS, do you think he would like Louise Penny?  I do.  A good storyteller.  The male is my brother.

I don't remember the names of the books in particular but I think he might like the books by Clive Cussler.  You could go on his website or google his name and he has a lot of books which I think your friend might find enjoyable.

How about some books that are easy-reads:

Sorry, I tried cutting and psting, but it didn’t work well.

These two books, and others similar, are available on Amazon, and can be directly shipped to his address as a gift.  My Dad wasn’t much of a reader, but always enjoyed books like these.

Still Life, because it's set in Canada.

@Lilysmom

To already recommended Baldacci and Deaver, I would add the Bosch detective series by Michael Connelly.  I think they made a series on one of the TV channels.

Another approach if he has a hobby or special interest would be a book with color pictures, e.g., automobiles, sports, etc.
