Is it The Breakdown by B.A. Paris?I listened to this on Audible and, other than a brief memory of it, just remember that I needed to speed it up just to finish it!
Disregard my suggestion. I should have finished the OP's post! Haha. The first part sounded like this one, so I stopped midway. 😊

It's GIRL ON A TRAIN. Emily Blunt is in the movie. Excellent stuff here! (Did you read THE WIVES?)
Oh wait....she was not a real estate agent in this story. She was unemployed because she was a drunk and she had dillusions and hangovers. And just took the train every day for the heck of it. There was a dead women though....

It sounds like The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. (I clicked on here in error! Your post title got me curious!). I used to be an avid reader. If this isn't it, I highly recommend it. One of the best I've read!
