Do you have an author who never disappoints?

Just opened David Baldacci’s newest, “End Game”, and am totally enthralled. He is one of the authors who never disappoints me. Others for me are Nora Roberts, Sandra Brown, Donna Ball, Cat Coulter, John Grisham, Alice Hoffman, John Lescroart, Daniel Silva, and Brad Thor. How about your lists?

I adore Baldacci.  I have End Game on my bookcase.  But right now, I'm half way through The Forgotten.  I like Nora Roberts also.  I gave up on Grisham some time ago.  I was finding myself always disappointed in his endings.

For me it's Greg Iles.  His books are really fat - about 800 or so pages but they are so spellbinding that the reading goes fast.

In detective fiction, i am in awe of Sue Grafton's achievement in her "Kinsey Milhone" series.  Even when the story doesn't grab me quite as much as some others, there's her faultless ear for dialogue, her seemigly effortless characterizations of dozens and dozens of memorable characters, her dry humor and her considerable mood-making talents.

I just finished reading End Game by David Baldacci.  Other favorites:  Dorthea Benton Frank, Barbara Taylor Bradford, John Sandford, Lisa Scottoline, John Lescroat, Jeffery Deaver, Steve Martini, Faye Kellerman, Lee Child and so many more.  I love to read.
