I have absolutely no clue where summer went, but Fall is here!  Without a doubt, my favorite reason to embrace fall is for its fashion.  With it comes the need to layer (obviously a favorite subject of mine!), and I love that many pieces and fabrics within a wardrobe come back into play. When it came time to design a Today’s Special Value for this season I knew it had to be something absolutely perfect - both in style and design but also that it will just work for everyone! The real genius of this perfect sweater is the length and the fact it’s one of my favorite silhouettes.  It’s one that is still as relevant today as it was when I discovered it many moons ago.  It was my favorite shape to wear and it still is today.  For one simple reason - it just works!  You feel and look amazing and the same goes for everybody who puts it on.  It’s a magical shape that never lets me down!  If you look at all the runway reports you will see this is everywhere, again and again, because it still feels so special.  It’s forever.

We’ve also given this divine cotton cashmere sweater a twist by creating it in this gorgeous mélange.  This look comes from a unique space dyeing process where multiple colors come together in the most beautiful and almost textural way.  Not to mention the six colors we designed this piece in are the richest hues you find in jewels and in nature. 

It might not be the first thing you notice, but this sweater has my favorite type of sleeve. It’s a full sleeve but it has a ribbed cuff so you can pull it up or bring it down low over your knuckles.  One of the easiest ways to style a look is just to tweak things here and there. Roll up the sleeve, belt it, put a shirt with a collar under it or our new fave way, with a mock turtleneck.  I also love the way we cut and sized this piece.  I LOVE my true size but I’ve always had this special way of shopping where I buy one color in a size up.  For me, I usually do this in a particular color that’s extra special and important and it’s just begging to be worn in a cozy way - I usually do this with a darker color. And you may be the exact opposite and prefer to go down a size for that shrunken look... I’m telling you that’s what this year is all about!  Throw your “normal size” out the window and just look in the mirror and have some fun.  That’s how you become a beautifully self confidant woman- by letting go of the rules, trusting your instincts and embracing YOU!
