My Christmas Tree Mannequin

I have been thinking about doing something unique with my trees for a while and so a dress form, chicken wire, garland, lights, picks...and lots of patience... a bit of looking on Pinterest.. then more patience... some helping hands... and VIOLA!!!

So a few weeks ago I went into a big box discount store and saw a beautiful Christmas tree mannequin. It was CRAZY expensive! 

 

So I decided I can make this myself for less money. I ordered a inexpensive dress form, bought some chicken wire, grabbed some old garland and light and went to Pinterest for tips (chicken wire is no joke).

 

Lauren helped me form the skirt with the chicken wire then I started layering the garland and picks.  It was time consuming but I think worth it.
