A belated Happy New Year to you all and I want to let you all know that my #1 New Year’s resolution is to be a better blogger!
I appreciate all of your comments and you are so much fun to talk with. Your input- as we expand our Sterling and Diamond Collection- is invaluable, so do keep those notes coming!
I’ve always considered myself a “people’s designer” and most often when asked what inspires my designs…my answer is: The women I design it for. I’m inspired by beautiful things, of course-- from nature to architecture to fine art and fascinating periods in history; but ultimately my desire is to bring my “wearable art” to the distinctive women (and occasionally men!) that I design for.
I also believe that an artist cannot create in a “vacuum”, but that he creates for others to experience. An artist feels a calling, of sorts, to share his (or her!) vision of beauty. I think that an artist needs to share what he imagines to truly enjoy the beauty he envisions.
Soooo, you can understand what a joy it is to see a piece of my jewelry that someone is wearing…and to hear that it brings them great pleasure. This is what we as designers live for.
It’s what I believe every artist strives for.
And…because I envision us all as Princesses or Queens of our own kingdoms
we have brought some of my favorite “Tiara Rings” to Q! (qvc.com, Sterling Designer Gallery, Legacy by Naomi)
In my couture collections they are $1800 and $2400 and up, but in our white-hot Sterling Silver (all with diamonds of course!) they are easy on a Princess’s pocket…One set of the 3 (that sold out on air!) are back and are priced at $171.60 for all THREE! (J147275) Whee!
Also, look at the Fleur-de-lis pendant for $105.29
(J147839) and the matching ring which is straight from my high-end collection, but done in Sterling with diamonds and has all the punch of our 950 platinum. I’m wearing mine right now. We can be twins!
Meanwhile, best of everything to you all in the New Year! May it be a brilliant and dazzling year filled with good things, and diamonds, of course! I promise to be a better correspondent this year!
Watch for posts as I travel to our amazing factory in India in June. It’s a remarkable place where I’m able to work one-on-one with the talented jewelers who make our designs come to life. The factory is not only state-of-the-art, but designed and arranged according to the rules of “feng shui”. (More about that later.)
I will be joining them in the mornings for Yoga(!) complete with incense, candles and the little shrines they set up to honor the sacred spirits that many believe watch over the factory, the workers and the product itself!
With the heavenly music and the exotic aromas in the air, the factory is transformed into a magical place each day before production. Very Zennnn…
I’d love to share it all with you so stay tuned, and thanks again to all of you for your messages and your input!
As a designer who is inspired by the wonderful women who wear my jewelry, I’m soooo happy happy happy that you love it too.
XOXO,
Naomi
