meme: I was in a study at Tufts Medical School using Omega 3's for dry eye that put me in remission. I still take it. I had to go off of it last week before a procedure. I'm back on it tonight.

All moisturizers that flow must have something in them that is irritating.

I will be seeing a dietician soon. I haven't been able to find anyone who will do food testing. But when I was in the hospital I was on an IV without food for ten days and had the worst skin flare in many years.

I do well with LaRoch Posay cleanser. I reacted to Cetaphil.

I've never used cortisone on my face.

When I had my eyebrows done my eyes swelled practically shut. Derm said Aquaphor. I haven't had them done since.

Where do you get Marula oil?

I agree with the Omega 3, it got me to about 90% relief, the diet change finially got me to 100%

Interestingly I do not do well with Cetaphil either!

Marula oil did not sooth my skin in any way, but I do not remember having a reaction, but I do know I gave it away.

@lavendar

I have very sensitive acne prone skin that can get very red and flaky due to weather or irritation . I recently fround CV skinlabs Calming moisture for face, neck and scalp from the website: designed for allsensitive skin types from effects of microdermabrasion, lasers chemical peels and chemotherapy . it is 100% free of synthetic fragrances ,dyes parabens , formaldehyde hydroquinone mineral oil/petrolatum and silicones and a bunch of other things . It is very gentle and so lightweight . They have their own website CV labs and you can also buy at different organic/green beauty websites .

Good luck and feel better  .

I use soolantra when my skin flares badly .My derm gives me a cortisone shot that helps quicky. Do you get your ANA or inflammatory blood work done periodically. The shot helps with my fibro pain also and sojgrens etc.

I have medical issues and super sensitive skin. I also have a ton of allergies so that just compunds the situation. Nothing works for me two days in a row because I have a lot of variables. Here's my list of what I use:

Purity Made Simple to remove makeup at night and to wash my face. ( The formula has changed with the selling of the company but it still is a decent product ...and gentle)

Dr. Denese Omega 3 Phytofix Cleansing Balm to wash my face in am. (You only need a small amount to clean your face and neck--less than the size of a dime, It is very gentle.

Note: either of these you could use for both day and night and to remove make-up. That system works for others but doesn't for me with my conditions.

I will get large red blotches, rashes, etc. on my face from allergies, etc. When I have this type of "episode" then I usually just cleanse my face and don't put anything on it until it "settles" (Note: the Dr. Denese will leave your skin feeling slightly moisturized)

If you want a moisturizer or a multi task product then I use the Day Cream by Dr. Denese. This is an moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation (BB/CC cream) and treatment all in one. I prefer the jar formula over the tube. It will tame down the redness, etc.

Hope one of these helps you.

What brand of Omega 3 do you use and what dietary changes were effective?

I use the Omega 3 Theratears brand. That's what was used in the study. I used to get it on Drugstore.com. Since that's gone I'll try Amazon. Some drugstores have it but it was cheaper online.

I didn't have luck with Restasis. There's a new med out for dry eye that a friend has had some success with.

I also run two humidifiers. One in my living run and one in the bedroom. That's good for skin and hair also.

My derm's nurse said to use Aquaphor. It worked.
